October 17, the first charity race in the republic was held. About 1500 people took part in the race. "Running for Life" was launched to help seriously ill children and adults wards of the “Insan” Foundation.
The initiator and organizer of the race was the largest in the North Caucasus Charity Fund "Insan" with the support of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Dagestan and the Administration of Makhachkala.
Registration and start of the participants took place at the Elena Isinbaeva stadium. The following came to support the participants: Minister of Sports Sazhid Sazhidov, Minister of Youth Affairs Kamil Saidov, Olympic champion Abdulrashid Sadulayev, Chairman of the Committee for Sports, Tourism and Youth Affairs of the city of Makhachkala Marat Ibragimov. The route of the race ran through the Irchi Kazak Street and Dakhadayev Street to Lenin Square, where the participants finished. As Magomedrasul Akhmedov, General Director of the “Insan” Foundation, told us the race was held in several categories: among men and women, as well as among the youngest and adult participants.
The race was attended by residents of Krasnodar, Moscow and other cities. They transferred funds to the account of the Foundation and ran the distance in their homeland. The culmination of the race was the closing of several collections in the “Insan” mobile application. The collected funds in the amount of 721300 rubles were transferred to 6 wards online right at the finish line.
